Megafit
Since 2000, Fitness Concept has
invested and operates its Sports Club and Fitness
Centre chain - Megafit in China. Megafit not only
offers members fitness facilities and exercise
programs, but also advanced spa facilities and
professional facial treatment service by setting
up Sensations Spa. To date, there are a total of 10 Megafits
all over China located in Shanghai, Chengdu, Wuhan,
Xian and Urumqi. Amongst them, the
Jinqiao Megafit
Sports Club in Pudong Shanghai is known as the
largest private sports club in Shanghai. It was set up in Pudong
in May 2004 with an area of 11,000 square meter
and the following facilities:
- 4-season indoor swimming pool
- Fitness center
- Spa (Spa Fusion)
- Children playground
- Conference Room

- 8 Badminton courts
- 5 Squash courts
- 4 Tennis courts
- Health bar

In 2006, Megafit acquired the copyright of
the Chinese edition of [Essentials of
Strength Training and Conditioning] from
National Strength and Conditioning
Association (NSCA) and obtained the coaching
as well as assessment acting rights. In the
same year, Jinqiao Megafit was rated as a
5-star gymnasium by Beijing Hua An United
Certification Center*, which is the only
sports club given this honour in Shanghai at
present.*A third certification party
established by Certification and Accreditation
Administration of the PRC and General
Administration of Sports. |
